A
harmonious body is a healthy and happy body. But
one of the main obstacles to physical harmony is unproductive
stress. The effective management of stress requires body energy
additional to what is needed for basic body functions and for life's
activities. Energy enters the body as food, and
some
foods are better sources of energy than others.
The energy is then
converted into usable calories inside cells;
water is an absolute requirement for this process.
We actually are what we eat and drink! Energy is finally harnessed in our
muscles for movement. Muscles in turn require to be conditioned
in order to perform well, and their optimum function depends on the equilibrium between how
strong
and flexible they are. Overall body and mind balance
is in fact, essential. You can take control of your own
health by first being aware of what
affects your body, and then choosing the foods
and activities that contribute
to its well being.
