Stay in Balance

Nutritional, Physical, Environmental

Nutritional -The importance of a well-balanced nutrition for maintaining an active, healthy and satisfying lifestyle cannot be underestimated. Certain nutrients are absolute requirements for even basic movements to become possible, such as respiration, digestion, and circulation. Lack of certain vitamins, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates or the essential fats (only three) leads to "dis-ease. One very good way to make sure to obtain all the necessary nutrients is to regularly eat an abundance of colorful veggetables and fruits. The more variety of colors more chances you are getting the basics that you need. Moreover, there's good evidence that some serious illnesses, like cancer, can actually be prevented by having all this variety in your nutrition.

Environmental -  You should allow enough rest periods during the day to recuperate and make the best use of your body's natural way of getting rid of food by-products and unwanted chemicals in the environment. Your body is constantly being bombarded with toxins and the more toxins your body has to process, the less energy it has for more health-promoting activities. the result: fatigue. Take breaks in your activities to recharge. and include the following preventive ways regularly.

* Breathe deeply - this maximizes the exhalation of  carbon dioxide (toxic) as you exhale from even the smallest pockets in your lungs and brings in oxygen, needed for energy.

* Drink lots of water - to replenish circulating fluid constantly used up by all the working cells; without water, cells feel the stress and don't work properly. Water of good quality is a most. Check your water source often.

* Eat lots of fiber - found in large amounts in most fruits, cereals and vegetables, it stimulates getting rid of digestive waste and cleanses the digestive tract for more productivity.

* Read food and products labels regularly - This way you can assess your risks of adquiring toxins (skin: toothpaste, soap, shaving cream,  shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, hairspray, and perfume, all contain some toxins, maybe carcinogenic; food: questionable pesticides, antibiotics, and hormones, are common, as well as additives; milk and other drinks: hormones, pesticides, and chemicals such as aspartame;  solvents, emulsifiers and preservatives routinely used in food processing.

* Be aware of the air you breathe and water you drink: auto ignition by-products as well as from secondary smoke; water pollution from supply's cleansers, from farms's waste and leaching from cookware.

Physical -Physical balance requires equilibrium, which depends on good body alignment. To obtain it, practice engaging your abdominal muscles as often as you can daily. These muscles are responsible for supporting your spine keeping your body upright. Bad posture of the spine leads to back problems. Aim at using the abdominal area to maintain your torso uplifted. And just as important, make body alignment awareness a daily habit in regards to your pectoral and shoulder muscles. You should often check your chest to be in an "open" position and your shoulders relaxed. These are areas where tension commonly builds up during the day, and it is easy to routinely keep them contracted. This way they upset your alignment affecting your balance and the performance of your lungs and other internal organs. Finally, make sure to keep your good alignment during all your physical exercises when your body feels more exertion and needs it even more.
